Photographic exhibition of the History of Vanilla in Puerto Rico from 1797 to the present.

Meet and Greet 9:30 am

You will observe the first planting of agroforestry vanilla and Arabica coffee, among many other agricultural fruits.

Walk - a - Vanilla Extract Workshop: 10:00 am - 12:00pm
Guided tour of the vanilla orchids in the form of an umbraculum. You will observe vanilla planifolia and pompona pods from the farm in the process of development and learn the general aspects of vanilla planting and cultivation. Guided tour of the sowing and cultivation of vanilla in an agroforestry way and the sowing of Arabica coffee and cocoa in development.

During the tour you will observe exotic wood trees and listen to a variety of birds, including the woodpecker, as well as see beautiful butterflies. Then we will have the Workshop to prepare vanilla extract from the pod grown in Lares, Puerto Rico. You will be able to take home the vanilla extract prepared by you.
