November 13 - Morning; Walk -a-Vanilla Workshop. Visit the vanilla, fruit trees and coffee trees with the farmers from VisitRico’s Base Farm and prepare a Vanilla Extract. To maintain good safe distance individual tables will be set up by groups. Language: Español, Translator available for English

Vanilla Journey Talks
Dive into the history of Vanilla in Puerto Rico and the world through an immersive conference in the farm with orchids in the form of an umbraculum, while enjoying coffee and snacks. Photographic exhibition of the History of Vanilla in Puerto Rico from 1797 to the present.
Afterwards, Walk a Tour:
You will observe vanilla planifolia and pompona pods from the farm in the process of development and learn the general aspects of vanilla planting and cultivation. Guided tour of the sowing and cultivation of vanilla in an agroforestry way and the sowing of Arabica coffee and cocoa in development. You will observe the first planting of agroforestry vanilla and Arabica coffee, among many other agricultural fruits.
Vanilla Extract Workshop: 11:00 am - 12:00pm
Workshop to prepare a vanilla extract from the pods grown in Lares, Puerto Rico. You will be able to take home the vanilla extract prepared by yourself.
During the day you will observe exotic wood trees and listen to a variety of birds, including the woodpecker, as well as see beautiful butterflies.

We will prepare vanilla extract together from the pod grown in Lares, Puerto Rico. You can take home the vanilla extract prepared by you. In addition, you will be given recipes for different dishes using vanilla from Puerto Rico.
