Celeb Cape Cod Chefs partner with The Cape Cod Organic Farm to raise money for small family farms in Puerto Rico.

Cape Cod Organic Farm, www.capecodorganicfarm.org, is pleased to announce a “Farm to Farm” Benefit Feast prepared by well known Cape Cod chefs on Nov 5 starting at Noon at Preservation Hall in Wellfleet. There will be music, food, drinks and alive auction. All proceeds will be donated to the Family Farm Disaster Fund, https:www.farmaid.org our work family farm disaster fund, an initiative of FarmAid. Farm Aid, in turn, partners with Visit Rico, www.visitrico.org, an on-the-ground grassroots organization, that works directly with small family farms that were affected by hurricanes in Puerto Rico and Vieques. 100% of every dollar donated by the “Farm to Farm” benefit will go directly to in-need farm families.  According to Tim Friary, proprietor of The Cape Cod Organic Farm; “local small farmers are the life line for sustainable food security during times of need and a cornerstone of a local economy. I know from my own personal experience that when a natural disaster hits, farmers lend hands to one another. It’s just the way it’s done.” The community of Chefs will be preparing a harvest feast using the freshest farm ingredients including organic vegetables and free range heritage bred pork from Cape Cod Organic Farm. Participating chefs include Michael Ceraldi of Ceraldi’s – Wellfleet, Jonathan Haffmans and Jeremiah Reardon of VERS–Orleans, and Liam Luttrell Rowland of Spindler’s–Provincetown. Tickets are on sale for $40 at www.wellfleetpreservationhall.org. There is also a donation option on the site. For information please call: Gary Furstat gary.furst@gmail.com or 508-962-5723.
